Artist Biography:
Brother Jopa is a local lettering artist well-versed in calligraphy, brush script, and sign painting. His work pairs traditional methods of application with a contemporary black and white aesthetic, and is not limited by purpose or scale.
Nick Farrell’s work often uses drawing to examine the relationship between mind and body. His practice also relies on traditional methods of art making to help understand human nature in an increasingly digital society. Also a freelance museum and gallery preparator, Nick looks for different ways to engage audiences and broaden perspectives on the practice of looking.
Both artists live and work in Vancouver, BC, on the unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.
